Salesforce Analytics FAQ

Can we improve reporting with the Salesforce tools we already have?

Often, yes. We start with the questions your reports need to answer and check what your current setup supports. Standard reports and dashboards may be enough. We recommend additional tools when there is a clear need.

How do we choose between Salesforce reports, CRM Analytics, and Tableau?

The choice depends on who needs the reports, what questions they need answered, and where the data lives. We check whether your existing Salesforce reports can meet those needs. If they cannot, we assess CRM Analytics or Tableau and confirm the requirements before recommending a tool.

Will we need additional Salesforce products or licenses?

Not for every reporting project. We check what your current tools support and whether connecting the required data needs another product, such as Data Cloud. We identify additional licensing requirements during scoping.

Can you fix slow dashboards or reports that don’t update reliably?

Yes. We investigate whether the problem is in the dashboard or the way its data is processed. We test changes against the affected reports and agree on how failed updates are flagged and who handles them.

Can you combine Salesforce data with our billing system or warehouse?

Yes. We agree on how records match across systems and which system supplies each reporting measure. Then we confirm how the data will be connected and how often reports need to update.

Can our team see dashboards while working in Salesforce?

Yes. Supported dashboards can appear on Salesforce pages, including alongside relevant customer records. We confirm what your chosen reporting tool supports before building.

How do you keep sensitive reporting data restricted?

We configure who can access the reporting data and test with the intended users. We check the analytics tool’s permissions separately; we don’t assume a dashboard automatically follows the access rules on Salesforce records.

Need clearer reporting?

Start with the report you don’t trust.
